The Madison Democratic Committee enjoyed a terrific Bottle Hill Day, spending the day talking with hundreds of Madison residents about the upcoming November 3 election. Our booth was busy throughout the day as voters stopped by to meet local Democrats, ask questions about the election, learn more about the candidates on the ballot, and make sure they have a plan to vote.
We were especially thrilled to be joined by Morris County Commissioner candidate Chris Russo, who currently serves as Morristown Council Vice President and is campaigning to bring what he describes as responsive, effective leadership to county government. Russo is seeking to break a 53-year Republican hold on the Morris County Board of County Commissioners, making the county race one of the closely watched contests on this year’s local ballot.
Bottle Hill Day also gave us a great opportunity to introduce voters to the full Democratic ticket, including Madison Borough Council candidates Bob Landrigan and John Forte. Landrigan is completing his fourth three-year term on the Council, while Forte is completing his first full term. The two are running together under the theme, “Experience That Listens. Leadership That Delivers for Madison.”
The enthusiasm we heard throughout the day was energizing. Most of all, we appreciated the chance to talk one-on-one with so many neighbors about Madison, the issues they care about, and the importance of participating in the November 3 election. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth—and to all of the volunteers who helped make Bottle Hill Day such a success.
