TO THE EDITOR: I write in support of the candidacy of John Forte for the Madison Borough Council.

I have served with John on the Madison Historic Preservation Commission (HPC). He is genuinely committed to historic preservation and adaptive reuse of Madison architectural resources.

It is very discouraging to witness the loss of so much of Madison’s historic fabric. And I know that John feels this.

Nevertheless during HPC meetings and hearings he has always maintained a calm demeanor, listened well and suggested productive ways forward.

If elected he will bring this same approach to all of his work on the Borough Council.
