TO THE EDITOR: I first became acquainted with John Forte and his family as helpful and caring neighbors of my parents.

Both of us being Madison natives, John and I would discuss Madison’s past, present and future.

I have come to know John as someone who cares deeply about Madison and its residents, evidenced by his 15 years of service on the Planning Board, including multiple terms as vice chairman.

Additionally, John has been a member of Historic Preservation Commission for 19 years. His approach to municipal matters is a thoughtful one; he always is inclined to consider practicalities as well as fairness.

I would urge all residents to cast their vote for John Forte for Borough Council.
