Strong victory for Madison Dems
*Results updated with official numbers on 11/17/19)*
Official results show Mayor Bob Conley came out well ahead of his Republican challenger, former Councilman Rob Catalanello. Bob becomes only the second mayor to serve more than two terms since the first Mayor of Madison, Mayor Albright. Bob received 2,705 (61%) votes to Rob’s 1,731 (39%).
Incumbent Councilwoman Maureen Byrne was re-elected to a second term, receiving 2,417 votes. First-time candidate and Planning Board member Rachel Ehrlich won her first term with 2,347 votes. Republican incumbent Patrick Rowe pulled in 1,985 votes and his running-mate, Kathy Dailey, received 1,913 votes.
The mood at the MDC election returns party was cautiously positive as the results started to come in and get tallied by the mayor himself.

A packed room of MDC supporters congratulated the winners and the current and future council members gathered together to celebrate.
Official results and candidates statements are expected in the next few days.
