Eagle: Madison Democrats Ehrlich and Haralampoudis emphasize future vision, proactive approach

Democrats Rachel Ehrlich and Tom Haralampoudis emphasize having a proactive vision for the future to help Madison adapt to changes, including those brought on by its own success.

Ehrlich, an architect who specializes in affordable and energy-efficient housing. “We need a vision that is forward-looking and preserves the best features of Madison: our downtown, our open spaces, the great volunteerism and community bonds that we have, our safe and healthy community.”

Haralampoudis, a longtime local volunteer who runs an export business and is part-owner of the Bottle Hill Tavern, says smart development and strategic planning in the central business district will be key to Madison’s success.

“I have 30 years in the business world dealing internationally, nationally and with local people,” he said. “I think I could bring good management practices to some of the borough’s budgeting, some of the borough’s contract negotiations.
