LETTER: Environmental, civic groups recognize Ehrlich’s service in Madison

TO THE EDITOR: I’m writing to enthusiastically support Rachel Ehrlich, incumbent candidate for Madison Borough Council.

Rachel is experienced, committed, and dedicated to our town and the wider world. Her commitment to volunteerism is deep and demonstrable.

I’m not the only one who has recognized her excellence as a candidate.

In the past month, she was awarded a distinction from Moms Demand Action. She’s also one of only two council candidates in the entire state of New Jersey to be endorsed by the Sierra Club.

They said, “The New Jersey Chapter is pleased to support your campaign in appreciation of your demonstrated commitment to protecting the environment.” And Rachel and her running mate, Tom Haralampoudis, were both endorsed by the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters (NJLCV). These endorsements are hard-won, and a reflection of the tremendous work Rachel has put in as a council member and a volunteer.

I am proud to count myself among the many who recognize and endorse Rachel’s commitment to issues local and global that make Madison a stronger, kinder, safer community.
