TO THE EDITOR: I can’t think of another person in Madison who has devoted as much time and intelligent conversation in support of so many causes in our great community than Thomas Haralampoudis.
All while doing it selflessly and tirelessly. I’m sure he sleeps at some point, but when you total the time he spends on all of his generous activities, it’s more than 24 hours per day.
Tom Haralampoudis is or has been a trustee of the Madison Public Library, a member of the Madison Board of Health, Madison Housing Corporation, president of the Madison Junior School Sports Program, a past chairman of the Madison Environmental Commission, served four years on the Madison Board of Education, a co-founder of the Sustainable Madison Advisory Committee, has coached boys and girls sports teams, Rotary … you wonder if he has any time to sleep.
He’s a successful businessman – and practices it with heart. He understands sophisticated financial issues on a macro level- but also understands the practical needs of the average homeowner. He has great ability to understand the details of each issue in town – but also has the common sense to understand how it impacts you and me.
While his basic character is to help people, he doesn’t consider providing help a chore or favor: He believes it’s what neighbors do for neighbors and what people do for people. And if he hasn’t done enough already, he wants to do more. He wants to be your Borough Council representative. If we’re fortunate enough to have him elected, we’ll all be better off with someone in office that cares so much about our community and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Madison the best place to live in New Jersey.
Tom’s running mate, Rachel Ehrlich, makes them the best one-two punch Madison has ever seen. Like Tom, she has the energy and smarts (of course- she’s an architect) to always see Madison is on the right course.
I strongly urge you to vote for Tom and Rachel.
