Madison’s 2020 Primary Delivers Strong Showing for Dems

After all the votes were counted, Madison Democratic candidates John Hoover and Bob Landrigan received more than twice as many votes as their Republican rivals Michael Dailey and Mackaella Goodwin.

Full results can be seen on the County Elections website. John Hoover received 2,055 votes and Bob Landrigan tallied 2,081 votes. This compares to 949 votes for Michael Dailey and 942 votes for Mackaella Goodwin.

County-wide, despite having 7% more Republican registered voters than Democrat (35% vs. 28%), 51,270 Democrats cast votes in the primary vs. 42,576 for Republicans.
