TO THE EDITOR: We are thrilled to be supporting Bob Conley for mayor and Bob Landrigan and John Forte for Madison Borough Council.
Mayor Conley is not only thoughtful, compassionate, and inclusive of all Madisonians, but he also knows how to get things done. He is a passionate supporter of saving the Drew Forest and is working hard to make sure we protect this valuable resource.
Bob Landrigan has been on council for three terms during which he’s helped lead our town through several natural disasters like Hurricane Sandy. He is not afraid to be a lone dissenting voice on the council, lest anyone think that all Democrats vote the same way. He has integrity and he is kind, two qualities that serve Madison well.
John Forte was just sworn in to the council to fill the open seat until November and is already having an impact. He is a fifth-generation Madisonian who loves our town and has served for 15-plus years on important borough committees, like the Planning Board and the Historic Preservation Commission. He has all of our best interests at heart and will work hard to represent us well.
Even though these three candidates are running unopposed in the primary election on June 6, we encourage everyone to vote. This is an important election year with not only three seats open on council but the entire New Jersey State Legislature open as well.
If you like how Madison is being run, your vote is your way of showing support and saying thank you.
