
MADISON –Councilwoman Debra Coen and Madison Board of Health President Eric Range together with the Madison Democratic Committee (MDC) invite the public to the Madison Democrats’ Annual Campaign Kick-off Picnic to be held on Sunday, September 19 from 12:30 to 3 PM at the home of Marianne McConnell at 142 Ridgedale Avenue.
Ms. Coen is running for re-election and Mr. Range is running for his first term on the Madison Borough Council. Coen and Range are running unopposed in the November 2 general election.
The candidates stated, “We look forward to officially kicking-off our 2021 general election campaign at the picnic. We hope that many Madison voters of both parties will join us for friendly conversation and good food and drink.”
“We have also invited our State Senator, Governor Dick Codey, Assemblywoman and Deputy Speaker Mila Jasey and Assemblyman John McKeon to join us,” stated MDC Co-chairs, Alix Jennings and Christine Preston. Codey, Jasey, and Mckeon are all running for re-election in 2021.
Also invited to attend are the Democratic candidates for the Morris County Commission: T. C. McCourt of Dover, A. J. Oliver of Morristown, and Dina Mikulka of Mine Hill.
Debra Coen served as Council liaison to the Board of Health as the Board managed Madison’s fight against COVID-19. Prior to serving on Council, she spent many years as a volunteer in the school system, including one term on the Madison Board of Education.
Eric Range has been on the Madison Board of Health for six years and has been its president since 2017. He has also been a member of the Downtown Development Commission (DDC) for 16 years and has served as its chairman. He has also chaired numerous DDC sub-committees, including the Taste of Madison.
