MADISON – Three Democratic candidates vying for two seats on the Madison Borough Council squared off on a variety of issues in a debate sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Morristown Area on Tuesday, May 11.
The possibility of Drew University selling off portions of its forested land for potential new housing developments was chief among the topics.
Three candidates are running for two seats on the council, each seat consisting of a term of three years. The candidates are Councilwoman Debra Coen, Board of Health President Eric Range, running as a team, and Thomas Haralampoudis.
Coen and Range were nominated by the local Democratic Municipal Committee to run together for the two seats as a slate.
