NJ June 8th Primary to be In-Person for Most

Governor Murphy announced in a March 22nd briefing that this year’s primary on June 8th will be largely in-person for most, with polling stations open and voters able to use voting machines.

Many registered voters in New Jersey will NOT receive a mail-in ballot for the June 8th Primary Election unless they have previously applied for Vote By Mail for “all future elections.”

In order to get a mail-in ballot, you must apply for Vote By Mail. Mail-in ballots will mail to VBM voters beginning April 24, 2021. To learn about voting by mail and how to apply visit ATNJ’s website.

As a reminder, voters looking to change or establish their party affiliation must do so by April 14, in order to participate in the primary. Voters can cast their ballots only for candidates in the party for which they are registered.
