The Madison Democratic Committee is proud to present our 2020 candidates for borough council. Learn more about their commitment to our community, their relevant experience and many leadership qualities.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience representing the voters of Madison on the Borough Council these past three years. I am very proud of what we have accomplished together to make Madison the best place in the state to live. I see Madison now as a thriving community, yet I believe we have more to do, particularly as we face uncertain times due the COVID-19 health emergency.
My community-focused work, as a Councilman and through my many volunteer roles, has given me a unique and deep perspective on what our Madison neighbors value and their needs. I intend to continue to make Madison a great place to live for all our residents.
Now, more than ever, we need a steady hand and experience to see us through. I am confident Madison is resilient and we will come out stronger and more connected as a community. And I believe I have the right qualities and experience to help guide the important work of our Borough Council.
As I write this, in a time of great uncertainty when we all strive to cope with the challenges that the COVID-19 Coronavirus has brought upon us, I sit in my living room feeling very fortunate that I live in Madison. To live and serve in a town whose residents value and look out for one another; where fiscal prudence has put us in a position that others envy, and where volunteerism is one of its greatest assets, I feel both fortunate and honored.
Having served, and continuing to serve, on the Madison Volunteer Ambulance Corps for the past 23 years, as well as having served as an Auxiliary Police Officer, I understand the value Madison places in its volunteers, the sacrifices volunteers make, and, no matter what part of the town we live in nor the size of our home or apartment, that we are all equally valued residents of this town.
I am hopeful that the residents of Madison will once again put their faith in me and allow me to serve on Council, using my experience and skills to move Madison forward while maintaining its proven traditions and values.
