Save the Date! 2018 Leadership Conference February 23, 2018

The Madison Democratic Committee is kicking off 2018 with our Third Annual Leadership Conference to be held the evening of Friday, February 23rd, at the Madison Community House.

This year’s theme is “Voting our Values”. The Conference will focus on identifying our democratic values, documenting the changes in policy and legislation of the past year that counter our core beliefs, and examining how the changes in national programs and behaviors impact our local landscape. We will determine what we can do to counter harmful, negative decisions and practices and open doors to affect positive, meaningful change.

We need your ideas, your participation, your action!

With Phil Murphy as our new Governor and with our elected legislative representatives in the 27th– Gov. Codey, John McKeon and Mila Jasey– back in Trenton working hard to represent our values, there is tremendous opportunity to affect meaningful change here in New Jersey. With our 11th Congressional District seat on the ballot in 2018, there is tremendous momentum for change on the federal level as well.

Members of Phil Murphy’s administrative team, Senator Dick Codey, Assemblywoman Mila Jasey and Assemblyman John McKeon are our invited guests. 11th Congressional District candidates Mikie Sherrill, Mark Washburne, and Tamara Harris will be in attendance, as well as Mayor Bob Conley and our 2017 elected Madison Borough Council members John Hoover and Carmela Vitale, and Council members Astri Baillie, Ben Wolkowitz, and Maureen Byrne.

Please save the date. We hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be a dynamic evening of conversation and action.

A modest contribution will be requested to help defray event costs.
